My name is Minta and I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart “G” for 10 wonderful years. I have finally given birth to the sweetest baby boy! I also have two awesome nephews and a new niece with whom I spend a lot of time. I spent 10 years trying to have a baby and learned to fill the void by cooking which is why my whole family is fat.
Our infertility struggles primarily focus around having a hard time getting pregnant because of PCOS and Insulin Resistance and also not being able to stay pregnant because my womb is a death trap of auto-immune issues. I do attribute being able to carry my son to term to staying on the auto-immune drugs this time.
I hope this blog is funny, in a “finding the humor in the suck of it all” kind of way. I hope it helps others who are in it to not feel so alone.
I write for catharsis, but if you enjoy reading that’s great, too! Please stick around I’m sure the misadventures will be plenty.
I appreciate your story very much. I want to ask whether you take any supplements during pregnancy to control your MGUS condition?
vivian
Hi Vivian,
I took a lot of drugs during pregnancy (heparin, baby aspirin, prednisone), but none were specific to MGUS. My RE and rheumatologist looked at it as treating the whole inflammation problem.
